El sábado 13 de marzo desde las 16 hs. se realizará un festival solidario gratuito con las presentaciones de Gustavo Cerati, León Gieco y Los Fabulosos Cadillacs en Av. Figueroa Alcorta entre Sucre y La Pampa.
El espectáculo contará con la participación de RICARDO DARIN, ANDRES CALAMARO, LUIS ALBERTO SPINETTA y otros importantes músicos invitados.
Ante una de las tragedias más grandes de los últimos tiempos, los artistas argentinos y la comunidad se unen para dar una señal fuerte de apoyo y solidaridad con el pueblo chileno.
Un verdadero abrazo sentido y profundo para que el pueblo chileno sienta que estamos a su lado.
Entre tantos universos y objetivos donde se puede actuar, el lugar elegido para dar una respuesta es el mismo para todos los sectores: gobierno, empresa y comunidad.
Pensamos muy especialmente en dos ámbitos de colaboración: las escuelas y los centros de salud destruidos.
Pedimos básicamente agua mineral, leche larga vida, abrigo y medicamentos. Nosotros estamos buscando a cada persona, a cada familia, cada pequeño lugar afectado por el sismo, para que la entrega realmente aunque sea pequeña y simbólica, repercuta.

Caupolicán LFC se realizará a mediados de abril.
Por el terremoto que sufrió gran parte de Chile, el show anunciado para esta noche en el Teatro Caupolicán de Santiago será reprogramado en fecha a confirmar (mediados de abril). La presentación en el Festival de Viña quedó definitivamente suspendida. Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, staff y familias ya llegaron a Buenos Aires hoy al mediodía, están bien, y expresan su total solidaridad con el pueblo chileno en este duro momento. |

Chile has been chosen to be the host of the last show on Los Fabulosos Cadillacs global tour. After 50 shows and one million tickets sold throughout Latin America and the United States the band looks forward to a more intimate performance for their Chilean fans with this show. The Caupolican Theatre is where LFC perfomed some of their most memorable shows in Chile, back when it was called the Monumental Theatre.
The date has been chosen: Sunday February 28, just one day after their first time at the International Vina del Mar Festival.
El Arte de la elegancia de LFC [Sony Music and Nacional Records in the US], the group's latest album available is the follow up to the critically-acclaimed and GRAMMY nominated LA LUZ DEL RITMO. El Arte de la Elegancia is the second album the band recorded since their big comeback to the studio and stage!
This new album includes new versions of eight classic tracks featuring "Vamos Ya", a cover of Curtis Mayfield's "Move on Up", and two new songs [“Siete Jinetes” and “Lanzallamas”]. It was recorded at the “Casa de la música” studios in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina.
When asked about the songs on El Arte de La Elegancia, Vicentico responded: “we chose songs we hardly played in the past and that we felt deserved recognition”.

Los fabulosos cadillacs recibió el premio:
PERSONALIDAD DEL AÑO Entregado por CAPIF
En el día de ayer, se entregó la distinción a la PERSONALIDAD DEL AÑO 2008, que en esta ocasión fue para LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS.
Como lo hace desde 2004, CAPIF distingue a la Personalidad del Año y por este motivo ayer, coincidiendo con la fecha de lanzamiento del nuevo álbum de la banda (“El arte de la elegancia de LFC”) se hizo entrega de la estatuilla en el distinguido Salón “Criadores S.P.C” ubicado en Quintana 191, Capital Federal.
Ernesto Vicente, presidente de CAPIF, entregó personalmente la estatuilla a Vicentico, Sr. Flavio, Mario Siperman, Daniel Lozano y Fernando Ricciardi. Sergio Rottman no pudo estar presente por encontrarse en Puerto Rico.
En esta oportunidad, CAPIF decidió distinguir a LOS FABULOSOS CADILLACS por considerar que su gira de regreso fue un acontecimiento fundamental para la música nacional, destacándose la trayectoria y vigencia de una banda con gran trascendencia no sólo en Argentina sino también con una gran repercusión internacional.
En otras ediciones, el Homenaje a la Personalidad del Año fue para León Gieco, Diego Torres, Gustavo Santaolalla, Andrés Calamaro y Soda Stereo. |

Present their new album: "El arte de la elegancia de lfc"

El ARTE DE LA ELEGANCIA DE LFC follows LOS FABULOSOS CADILLAC’S release of LA LUZ DEL RITMO, and becomes their second record since their 2008 return.
This new album includes 8 historic tracks by the Cadilllacs in completely restored versions; A Curtis Mayfield Cover (Move on Up) and 2 new songs (“Siete Jinetes” and “Lanzallamas”). The album was recorded in the “Casa de la música” studios in Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina.
Vicentico said the following regarding the re-edited tracks “We decided to choose songs that we had rarely played in the past and that deserved more attention.
Some of the selected tracks have interesting anecdotes: ”Siempre me hablaste de ella” was recorded for the second record (Yo te avisé), but it was omitted at the last minute and later registered as a completely different version when it was time to include it on the third record (El ritmo mundial).
On a different note, “Vamos Ya!”( LFC’s Curtis Mayfield’s “Move on up” cover) was first peformed live by LFC at a barrio de Flores theatre in 1987, but had not been recorded in the studio until now.
The orginal version of , “Contrabando de amor”, the new album’s first single, is a part of El Satanico Dr. Cadillacs, LFC’s 4th album, edited in 1989.

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, una de las bandas argentinas más influyentes del rock latino, realizará el próximo 12 de Octubre un recital en el Club Ciudad Buenos Aires a total beneficio de Fundación Tzedaká y Cáritas Buenos Aires.
La iniciativa, de la que participan Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Time for Fun, la Fundación Tzedaká y Caritas Buenos Aires será uno de los eventos solidarios más importantes del año y permitirá llevar ayuda a beneficiarios de estas organizaciones en todo el país. La recaudación total será destinada a sus programas de ayuda social.
Desde las instituciones beneficiarias, Darío Werthein, presidente de Fundación Tzedaká, sostuvo que “llevar adelante una iniciativa como ésta, con el talento de Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, la trayectoria de Time for Fun y el esfuerzo conjunto de la Fundación Tzedaká y Cáritas Buenos Aires nos da nuevas fuerzas para seguir trabajando y extendiendo nuestra ayuda. Estamos convencidos que este recital va a ayudar a muchos, y va a inspirar a muchos más”.

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs Comunicado de Prensa
CAMBIO DE FECHA EN CONCEPCIÓN
SÁBADO 10 DE OCTUBRE - ESTADIO MUNICIPAL DE CONCEPCIÓN.
A través del siguiente comunicado informamos a los medios de comunicación, que el concierto de Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, dispuesto para el día 10 de Septiembre en Concepción, se ha reprogramado para el sábado 10 de octubre a las 21.00 horas, en Estadio Municipal de Concepción.
La productora a cargo del concierto en la región, Coolworld, en consulta con el managment de la banda, tomó la determinación de aplazar la fecha respondiendo a los malos pronósticos climáticos en la zona y en beneficio al público que asistirá al evento para minimizar los riesgos de lluvias.
Los tickets que hayan sido adquiridos para el concierto agendado en septiembre tendrán validez para el show que ofrecerán el sábado 10 de Octubre.
Quienes deseen la devolución de su dinero puede acercarse a los puntos de ventas, con su tickets, para que se haga efectivo.
El Management de Los Fabulosos Cadillacs y Coolworld lamenta cualquier inconveniente y de antemano agradece su comprensión.

The Fabulosos Cadillacs are already recording their upcoming album that will go on sale in August!
After their successful performances at the River Plate Stadium last December and a tour that took them through Mar del Plata, Colombia, Rosario (Argentina), USA, México, Bolivia, La Plata (Argentina), and Puerto Rico, LFC will perform during the months of June and July in the United States and Mexico, returning to Argentina to begin saying goodbye to their fans on August 25th and 26th in Luna Park.

Los Fabulosos Cadillacs’ new álbum, has become a PLATINUM álbum one month after its launch on October 30.
It is available in 2 formats: CD and CD + DVD. The DVD includes a documentary with interviews with members of the band including unpublished practice footage and álbum recordings.
It includes 5 band recordings (“La Luz del Ritmo”, “Flores”, “Hoy”, Nosotros Egoístas”, and “El Fin del Amor”), 6 new re-worked versions of classic repertoires and 2 covers of other artists (“Should I stay or should I go”-The Clash and “Wake Up and Make Love with Me” – Ian Dury).
The first two singles: “Padre Nuestro” and “La Luz del Ritmo” were No.1 on TV and Radio rankings in Argentina for numerous weeks. Their new single “El Fin del Amor” was written by Sergio Rotman.
They also recently received 5 Premios Gardel a la Musica 2009 nominations in Argentina in the following categories: Best Rock Album, Best Videoclip, Best artwork [for their remasterization of all their discography art], Song of the Year, and ALBUM OF THE YEAR. |

The 7th annual MTV Premios Latinoamerica took place on October 16th at the "Telmex Auditorium" in Guadalajara, Mexico and was broadcasted live in more than 22 countries in Latin America and MTV Tr3s in the United States.
Los Fabulosos Cadillacs performed live from Circo Beat Studios in Buenos Aires, where they are currently rehearsing for their upcoming tour. They performed one of their new songs "La Luz del Ritmo" and a band's classic "Matador".
The group was also given the "Legends Award "which was presented by Argentine personality, Mario Pergolini.
It was an unforgettable celebration and one of the last opportunities to see them perform live before their world tour begins on November 5th at Mexico's "Foro Sol" and which includes 50 shows across Latin America, the United States, and Spain. The tour hits Buenos Aires on December 12th and 13th at River Plate Stadium.
The new album, titled "La Luz del Ritmo", is one of the most anticipated releases of the year. It will include new songs, new versions of LFC classics and a few covers. It will be available in 2 formats: CD and CD+DVD.
LFC, creators of hits such as "Matador" and "Mal Bicho", are one of the most famous rock bands in Latin America. With a 25 year long career, the group has 11 studio albums excluding compilations and live releases (Bares y Fondas, Yo te avise, El ritmo mundial, El Satanico Dr. Cadillac, Volumen 5, Sopa de Caracol, El Leon, Vasos Vacios, Rey Azucar, Fabulosos Calavera, y La Marcha del Golazo solitario), multible Gold and Platinum albums (including 1 going 7x platinum), almost 3 million albums sold and more than 12,000 shows performed throughout the world.

The lyrics are handwritten by Sr Flavio and under each line, you can see the English language translation. That, is the handwriting of Mick Jones. Tomas Cookman, co-manager of the band
and Sergio Rotman, flew from Nassau to Atlanta in the middle of the recording sessions of "Rey Azucar" to record the ex Clash member as he was on tour with Big Audio Dynamite and had a free night.

Written by LFC’s bass player, "The Dead Latinos" is a rock ‘n roll fiction-novel. The story is about a rock group from Mexico City: Quetzalli Vampirella – a pre-hispanic pin-up girl with evil visions. She’s a zombie wearing a lucha libre mask who falls in love with Christos, a guitarist and
a Teddy Boy, from Rosario, Argentina. His band was called, The Descorazonados (“The Heartless”). The group becomes famous and the wicked lies begin.
Betrayal, intrigue, sex, rock latino, gossip, terror, the unloved, egos, skinheads, hallucinogens, crime, action and much more all are present in this slice of rock ’n roll fiction.
Sr. Flavio is one of the most influential rock musicians in Latin America. This past year, aside from continuing his solo outings with the Flavio Mandinga Project, he is part of one of the most anticipated events in the history of Latin rock music: El Satánico Pop Tour with Los Fabulosos

On Tuesday July 15, there was a tribute concert to Gerardo “Toto” Rotblat at the Niceto Club. The lineup included Dancing Mood, Flavio Mandinga Project, Mimi Maura, Misterio, and other bands in which Gerardo had been playing with. Los Fabulosos Cadillacs made a surprise appearance, and performed “Nosotros Egoístas”, which will be included on their new studio album.
It was a touching night of drums, in the beloved memory of our friend.

A crowd of 10,000 fans attended the band’s surprise reunion show last night at Buenos Aires’ Planetarium.
Rumors had begun a month before, simply with the quote “Yo Te Avisé” (I told you), and the date, 07.01.2008. Many fans began to assume that it would be a secret show. But only the place and the time were unknown. So all the details were announced at midnight on July 1st via LFC’s official website: www.fabulosos-cadillacs.com.ar
As the hours went by, people started to fill the Planetarium, and right before the show, there were more than 10,000 fans waiting, looking at the stage.
Only minutes after 6 PM, the first chords of “Manuel Santillán, El León” were played, and Vicentico (vocals), Flavio Cianciarulo (bass), Sergio Rotman (sax), Mario Siperman (keyboards) Fernando Ricciardi (drums), and Daniel Lozano (trumpet) were together again to receive an ovation from the crowd.
The show continued with hits like “Mi novia se cayó en un pozo ciego”, “Demasiada presión”, “Siguiendo la luna” y “Mal Bicho”.
The night’s big surprise took place when Vicentico said that they were going to sing a new song, “La luz del ritmo”. The band closed the historic show with “El Satánico Dr. Cadillac” and told the crowd “See you December 12th at River”.
The world tour will be produced by Time for Fun Argentina and it will include more than 50 shows throughout Latin America, USA and Spain. The first leg of the tour will reach Puerto Rico, Colombia, Perú, Ecuador, Chile, Córdoba (Argentina) and Buenos Aires.
The first show of the reunion tour will be on November 5th in México City. 50,000 tickets were sold for this show in its first week on sale.
The band has begun recording a new album in Buenos Aires with producer Robert Carranza. They are writing new songs as well as re-interpretations of LFC classics. The expected release date is October 2008. |
